Laura began studying photography
as a senior in high school and after graduating in June 1992, started
working part time for various professional photographers in Northeast
Pennsylvania, while attending college full time.
She spent many hours photographing families and couples at several resorts
in the Pocono Mountains. During this time, she photographed her first
wedding - and enjoyed it so much she decided she wanted to become a
professional photographer and open up her own studio one day.
After graduating from East Stroudsburg University in 1997, she enrolled
at the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale and moved to Florida. While
attending school there she worked for some of south Florida's top photographers.
After graduating from the Art Institute in 1999, Laura headed home to
Pennsylvania to open up her own studio.
Today, her main area of work is photographing weddings. Although, weddings
are her main focus, she enjoys taking family, children and high school
senior portraits on location and in her studio. She specializes in hand-tinting
black and white photographs with oil paints.
